Mississippi High School Baseball - Oxford defeats Madison-Ridgeland Academy

Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots (Madison, MS), 9-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Chargers travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to battle the Commodores in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 28. The Commodores come into the test with a record of 3-1. Lafayette lost 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)

With the defeat, Madison-Ridgeland Academy falls to 4-1 on the season. The Patriots host Hernando (Hernando, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, February 25. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 4-0. Hernando won 9-2 in their recent non-league test against Marshall Academy (Holly Springs, MS)
