The Apple Valley Eagles (Apple Valley, MN) basketball nipped the host Breck Mustangs (Minneapolis, MN), 52-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (3-21) will now prepare for their test against Rosemount (Rosemount, MN). The Irish go into the AAAA Section 3 test with a 8-16 record. In their last test, Rosemount got by Burnsville (Burnsville, MN), 72-38, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hibbing/Victory Christian Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, February 25. Breck will encounter a squad coming off a 75-55 non-league win over Twin Cities Academy/Great River (St. Paul, MN). The record now stands at 3-14.
