Ely Timberwolves (Ely, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Ridge Panthers (Culver, MN), 56-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ely upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Timberwolves travel to Hill City (Hill City, MN) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Monday, February 27. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 3-18. Hill City lost 81-41 in their recent league bout against Northland (Remer, MN)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Northland Eagles (Remer, MN) in a A Section 7 bout, on Thursday, March 2. South Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 21-2 record after their 77-63 league loss to Cherry (Iron, MN).
