Grosse Ile Red Devils (Grosse Ile, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grosse Ile upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Red Devils host St. Mary Catholic Central (Monroe, MI) to play the Falcons/Kestrels in a Huron bout on Saturday, February 25. The Falcons/Kestrels come into the bout with a record of 9-9. St. Mary Catholic Central won 64-55 in their recent league bout against Jefferson (Monroe, MI)

Next up, the Trojans play the Ida Bluestreaks (Ida, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 28. Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record.
