In Friday's non-league outing, the Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX), by a margin of 60-49.

The Greyhounds (27-9) will now prepare for their match against New Deal (New Deal, TX). The Lions enter the non-league match with a 25-8 record. In their last match, New Deal overcame Clarendon (Clarendon, TX), 59-46, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Olton moves to 25-7 on the year.
