The Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) basketball felled the host Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots (Hitchcock, SD), 79-63 in Friday's league test.
The Wildcats (15-5) will now prepare for their test against Langford (Langford, SD). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Langford went down by Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD), 71-46, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Leola/Frederick for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 28. Hitchcock-Tulare will encounter a Titans squad coming off a 60-37 non-league loss to Ipswich (Ipswich, SD). The Titans record now stands at 11-9.
