Illinois High School Basketball - Monticello trounced by Prairie Central

The Prairie Central Hawks routed the visiting Monticello Sages basketball team by a final score of 72-38 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 1. Prairie Central will attempt to move on its 30-2 season record. The Fightin' Irish enter the game with a 25-7 record after their 69-56 non-league win over Seneca (Seneca, IL).

With the defeat, Monticello moves to 17-14 on the year.
