In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lytle Pirates basketball team scored a decisive 69-48 triumph over the Rio Hondo Bobcats.

In their next game, the Pirates meet the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 25. Lytle will attempt to better on its 28-10 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 30-4 record after their 63-59 non-league win over Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX).

With the defeat, Rio Hondo moves to 27-4 on the year.
