The Columbia Roughnecks routed the visiting Calhoun Sandcrabs softball squad by a final score of 7-2 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Roughnecks (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Rockport-Fulton got by Odem (Odem, TX), 13-2, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Calhoun falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Sandcrabs travel to Jones (Beeville, TX) to battle the Trojans in a 4A Region IV District 30 challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Jones lost 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Latexo (Latexo, TX)
