Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eastwood Troopers (El Paso, TX), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Abilene for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. Midland will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Eastwood falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Troopers travel to Midland Legacy (Midland, TX) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Midland Legacy lost 20-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Randall (Amarillo, TX)
