Texas High School Softball - MacArthur can't get by Mercedes

In Friday's non-league contest, the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) softball team held off the visiting MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, Mercedes moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 25. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 9-2. Eagle Pass won 7-3 in their recent non-league contest against Steele (Cibolo, TX)

In their next game, the Brahmas play the Harlan Hawks (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 25. MacArthur will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record. The Hawks come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 20-0 non-league win over Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX).
