Oviedo Lions (Oviedo, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Winter Park Wildcats (Winter Park, FL), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Brantley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. Oviedo will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lake Howell (Winter Park, FL). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Winter Park falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Colonial (Orlando, FL) to face the Grenadiers in a 7A District 4 challenge on Monday, February 27. The Grenadiers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
