Highland Park Scots (St. Paul, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Life Academy Eagles (Woodbury, MN), 79-70 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland Park upgrades its record to 9-16 on the season. The Scots travel to St. Croix Prep (Stillwater, MN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 28. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-18. St. Croix Prep won 68-44 in their recent league bout against Concordia Academy (Roseville, MN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Twin Cities Academy/Great River (St. Paul, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 29. New Life Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The go into the bout with a 10-15 record after their 70-61 non-league loss to Humboldt (St. Paul, MN).
