    • Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman nips Lawrence County

    February 24, 2024: Monticello, MS 39654

    Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) and the host Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), saw Quitman's basketball squad hold off Lawrence County by a count of 57-50.

    With the victory, Quitman upgrades its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS) to play the Braves in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 28. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 25-3. Tishomingo County won 53-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Louisville (Louisville, MS)
