Del Valle Cardinals (Del Valle, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hyde Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Del Valle will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 17-6 non-league win over McNeil (Austin, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 15-3.

With the loss, Amarillo falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Sandies host Canyon (Canyon, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
