Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Fort Bend Clements Rangers (Sugar Land, TX), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dobie for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. Katy Taylor will face a Longhorns squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Deer Park (Deer Park, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Fort Bend Clements falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Splendora (Splendora, TX) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Splendora lost 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Memorial (Houston, TX)
