Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Memorial Warriors (Frisco, TX), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walnut Grove for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Van Alstyne will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Memorial falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Prosper (Prosper, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-7. Prosper lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against John Paul II (Plano, TX)
