Coming up next, the Mustangs battle the Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 outing, on Tuesday, February 27. Nixon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX).

The Hawks (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against La Feria (La Feria, TX). The Lions enter the 4A Region IV District 32 outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, La Feria was routed by Palmview (La Joya, TX), 15-0, in a non-league outing.
