Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ontario Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 29. Schurr will face a Knights squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Linfield Christian (Temecula, CA). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Poly falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Parrots travel to Westlake (Westlake Village, CA) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 26. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
