The Irvine Vaqueros lacrosse squad scored 9 points and limited the host Portola Bulldogs to 5 in the Vaqueros non-league triumph on Monday.
The Vaqueros now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host El Modena for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 27.
With the loss, Portola falls to 1-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 26. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
