Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) and the host Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC), saw Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's soccer squad knock off Piedmont Community Charter by a count of 6-3.
The Gryphons (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Smoky Mountain tipped Erwin (Asheville, NC), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Patriots confront the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, February 28. Piedmont Community Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC).
