In Monday's non-league game, the host South El Monte Eagles baseball team scored a close 12-8 win over the Sierra Vista Dons.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Nogales (La Puente, CA). The Nobles go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Nogales was overwhelmed by South El Monte (South El Monte, CA), 7-6, in a non-league game.
