Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), 7-5 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Pinecrest improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Patriots travel to Sanderson (Raleigh, NC) to play the Spartans in a non-league game on Wednesday, February 26. The Spartans come into the game with a record of 1-0. Sanderson won 15-4 in their recent non-league game against South Garner (Garner, NC)

The Bears now have a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton for a non-league game on Friday, February 28.
