The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) and the visiting New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), observed Hazel Green's softball team get by New Hope by a tally of 8-3.

The Trojans (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Columbia (Huntsville, AL). The Eagles go into the 6A Area 16 bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Columbia tipped Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL), 11-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Indians clash with the Etowah Blue Devils (Attalla, AL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 26. New Hope will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 11-6 non-league win over St. Clair County (Odenville, AL).
