In Friday's non-league game, the host South Effingham Mustangs baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Rome Wolves.
The Mustangs (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Woodstock (Woodstock, GA). The Wolverines go into the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Woodstock tipped Vidalia (Vidalia, GA), 4-0, in a non-league game.
The Wolves (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Jeff Davis was edged by Appling County (Baxley, GA), 5-3, in a non-league game.
