Socorro Bulldogs (El Paso, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX), 16-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hutto for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. Socorro will face a Hippos squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Bastrop falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Salado (Salado, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-0.
