The Lafayette Commodores got by the visiting Olive Branch Conquistadors softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Commodores (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, DeSoto Central nudged Southaven (Southaven, MS), 18-3, in a non-league battle.

The Conquistadors now sport a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Independence for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 3. Olive Branch will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Byhalia (Byhalia, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
