Mississippi High School Softball - Northwest Rankin bounces Lake

The Northwest Rankin Cougars routed the host Lake Hornets softball squad by a final score of 14-6 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Oak Grove topped North Pike (Summit, MS), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a non-league battle on Monday, February 28. Lake will meet a Whippets squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Starkville (Starkville, MS). The Whippets record now stands at 2-0.
