The Converse Wildcats baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Quitman Wolverines to 6 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats (4-0) will now prepare for their match against St. Mary (Natchitoches, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 0-0 record.
The Wolverines (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Grant (Dry Prong, LA). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Grant edged Montgomery (Montgomery, LA), 3-2, in a non-league match.
