Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX) and the host Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX), saw Jones's baseball squad knock off Martin by a count of 12-0.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 2. Jones will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 4-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Diamond Hill-Jarvis (Fort Worth, TX).
