In Saturday's non-league match, the host McMinn County Cherokees basketball team scored a decisive 104-42 triumph over the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles.
In their next game, the Cherokees meet the Franklin County Rebels (Winchester, TN) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 28. McMinn County will attempt to move on its 20-7 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 14-15 record after their 59-51 non-league win over Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN).
With the defeat, Shelbyville Central moves to 1-22 on the year.
