In Saturday's non-league game, the host Carlsbad Cavemen baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Goddard Rockets.
The Cavemen (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Centennial tipped Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM), 15-5, in a non-league game.
The Rockets (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 0-2 record.
