In Saturday's non-league contest, the Cleburne Yellowjackets (Cleburne, TX) softball team held off the host Ballinger Bearcats (Ballinger, TX), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Cleburne moves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX) to play the Wolves in a 5A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, February 28. The Wolves come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Mansfield Timberview won 8-1 in their recent non-league contest against Molina (Dallas, TX)
In their next game, the Bearcats play the Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 contest, on Tuesday, March 7. Ballinger will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
