The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) and the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), saw Connally's softball squad nip Ferris by a count of 10-6.

The Cadets now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salado for a non-league match on Saturday, February 25. Connally will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-5 non-league win over West (West, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Ferris falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Saturday, February 25. The Lions enter the match with a record of 5-7. Blooming Grove lost 16-1 in their recent non-league match against Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX)
