The Eagle Pass Eagles softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting Mercedes Tigers to 0 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Eagle Pass improves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Warren (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, February 25. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 8-4. Warren won 10-2 in their recent non-league game against MacArthur (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Tigers meet the Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 battle, on Tuesday, February 28. Mercedes will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Cowboys go into the battle with a 0-4 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Lyford (Lyford, TX).
