In Saturday's non-league contest, the Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) softball team overwhelmed the host Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS), by a margin of 18-0.
With the triumph, Morton moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 25. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Nanih Waiya won 8-4 in their recent non-league contest against Eupora (Eupora, MS)
In their next game, the Gators play the Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 28. Leake County will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
