Mississippi High School Softball - Pisgah Loyd Star

In Saturday's non-league contest, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) softball team overwhelmed the host Pisgah Dragons (Sandhill, MS), by a margin of 9-2.

With the triumph, Loyd Star moves its record to 4-0 on the year. The Hornets travel to Wesson (Wesson, MS) to play the Cobras in a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 28. The Cobras come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Wesson won 16-4 in their recent non-league contest against Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS)

In their next game, the Dragons play the Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 27. Pisgah will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS).
