South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wylie East for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 25. South Grand Prairie will face a Raiders squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Memorial (Frisco, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Wakeland falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to McKinney (McKinney, TX) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. McKinney won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Sachse (Sachse, TX)
