The St. Joseph Catholic Bruins baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Benton Academy Raiders to 1 in the Bruins non-league win on Tuesday.
The Bruins now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Park Place Christian Academy for a non-league test on Monday, March 3.
With the defeat, Benton Academy drops to 0-2 on the year. The Raiders host Manchester Academy (Yazoo City, MS) to play the Mavericks in a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. The Mavericks go into the test with a record of 5-3. Manchester Academy won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS)
