Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 14-3 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Laney moves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league match on Friday, February 28. The Pirates come into the match with a record of 0-0.

The Rams now possess a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scotland for a non-league match on Thursday, February 27.
