The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS) and the host Starkville Yellowjackets (Starkville, MS), saw West Lauderdale's baseball team gain a win over Starkville by a tally of 9-5.
The Knights (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against West Jones (Laurel, MS). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, West Jones was overwhelmed by Poplarville (Poplarville, MS), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Yellowjackets face the Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) in a non-league battle, on Friday, February 28. Starkville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Gators enter the battle with a 3-5 record after their 15-3 non-league loss to Terry (Terry, MS).
