West Virginia High School Basketball - St. Albans thwarts Charleston Catholic

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV) and the host Charleston Catholic Irish (Charleston, WV), observed St. Albans's basketball team knock off Charleston Catholic by a score of 48-38.

The Red Dragons (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nitro (Nitro, WV). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 17-4 record. In their last challenge, Nitro prevailed over Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 68-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Irish encounter the George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 27. Charleston Catholic will attempt to improve on its 16-5 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 71-42 league win over Cabell Midland (Ona, WV).
