The Sarasota Sailors baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Port Charlotte Pirates to 4 in the Sailors non-league win on Tuesday.

The Sailors now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakewood Ranch for a non-league test on Thursday, February 27. Sarasota will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Braden River (Bradenton, FL). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Port Charlotte drops to 0-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Imagine School at North Port (North Port, FL) to clash with the Sharks in a non-league test on Friday, February 28. The Sharks go into the test with a record of 1-0. Imagine School at North Port won 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Port Charlotte (Port Charlotte, FL)
