The May River Sharks lacrosse squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting South Effingham Mustangs to 1 in the Sharks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sharks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bluffton for a 4A-1A Lower challenge on Thursday, February 27. May River will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, South Effingham falls to 0-4 on the year. The Mustangs host Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 27. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Beaufort lost 12-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA)
