Florida High School Baseball - Palatka nips Fleming Island

February 25, 2026: Orange Park, FL 32003

The Palatka Panthers baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Fleming Island Golden Eagles to 9 in the Panthers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Panthers now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bradford for a 3A District 5 outing on Friday, February 27. Palatka will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Wolfson (Jacksonville, FL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 2-4.

The Golden Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Nease (Ponte Vedra, FL). The Panthers come into the non-league outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Nease was nudged by Union County (Lake Butler, FL), 8-3, in a non-league outing.
