The La Costa Canyon Mavericks baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Hilltop Lancers to 5 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mavericks (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Del Norte (San Diego, CA). The Nighthawks go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Del Norte edged Classical Academy (Escondido, CA), 14-0, in a non-league match.
The Lancers (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Poway (Poway, CA). The Titans go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Poway was edged by Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA), 6-1, in a non-league match.
