The Poplarville Hornets nudged the visiting Pass Christian Pirates baseball team by a tally of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now hold a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perry Central for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 1. Poplarville will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.
Next, the Pirates face the Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 5. Pass Christian will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record.
