Branchville Yellow Jackets (Branchville, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Calhoun County Saints (St. Matthews, SC), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrew Jackson Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 26. Branchville will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Holly Hill Academy (Holly Hill, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Calhoun County falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Williston-Elko (Williston, SC) to battle the Blue Devils in a A Region 3 challenge on Monday, March 28. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
