In Saturday's non-league contest, the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles (Corpus Christi, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Carrizo Springs Wildcats (Carrizo Springs, TX), by a margin of 13-5.
With the triumph, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial moves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Eagles host Victoria East (Victoria, TX) to play the Titans in a 5A Region IV District 29 contest on Monday, February 28. The Titans come into the contest with a record of 1-4.
