Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Dawson Eagles (Pearland, TX), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bridgeland for a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, March 1.

With the loss, Dawson falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX) to battle the Sharks in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Sharks enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Shadow Creek 3-3 in their recent non-league challenge against College Park (The Woodlands, TX)
